- Dryland cereals and legumes CRP. Ingrid and Peter lead flagships - Africa RISING – emphasis will be on Phase 1 research and scaling it out rather than further diagnosis. But there will be some emphasis on soil fertility, watershed management etc. Leads likely to come from ICRISAT for soil fertility work and CIAT for landscape work. Planning meeting in 2nd week of Nov to move partnership teams together. Good to test in other environments e.g. Africa RISING ESA and West Africa. Tanzania team approached Ingrid. Africa RISING Science Meeting in January could be opportunity for feeding in ideas from companion projects. - We should have another round of testing in the core countries – planning to do this in Ethiopia. - Could think about ex-Humidtropics R4D platforms e.g. in DRC. CLIP project could be good candidate? Tamene presented at Ethiopia R4D platform - N2Africa – national partners - Should look for opportunities to present the tool at conferences e.g. Systems type conferences. Tropentag 2017. - Bioversity have shown some interest and Irene trained someone from Bioversity. - Deliverable on training R4D partners but could be tricky since the R4D platforms are beginning to wind down - Could share the tool at the Systems Marketplace event.
